Neutral Evaluation is an advisory and evaluative form of alternative dispute resolution. It is a process in which clients or their counsel present their cases to a neutral, impartial third party who renders a non-binding reasoned evaluation. The process may include interviews and history taking, psychological testing, collateral interviews or consultations, review of existing records, and behavioral observations. At the end of the evaluation process, the evaluator provides feedback and a summary to the clients and/or attorneys and may write a report that summarizes the recommendations. Neutral evaluation is a confidential process with some exceptions. One such exception is that the report will be released to the third party who has requested the evaluation.
Neutral evaluators do not provide any treatment, and at no time are clients considered a patient of Traverse Counseling & Consulting.
